Welcome to HindiFontGen (hindifontgen.in). We provide a free online tool that lets you preview Hindi text in different Devanagari fonts, adjust its appearance, copy text and download images.
Like many websites, HindiFontGen uses a small amount of browser storage for basic functions, relies on third-party services such as Google Fonts, and may show advertising provided by Google and its partners. This policy explains these technologies in plain language so you know what they do and how to manage them.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website may place in your browser or on your device. They can help a website remember settings, keep a session going, understand how pages are used, or support advertising.
Similar technologies include browser local storage. Local storage also keeps a small piece of information on your device, but it works differently from a cookie: it is read by the website that saved it and is not sent to the server with every request.
2. What we store and why
Remembering the privacy notice
HindiFontGen uses your browser's local storage to remember that
you have acknowledged the privacy notice shown on the site. This
stops the same notice from appearing on every visit. The setting
is saved under the name hfg_cookie_consent and stays
on your device until you clear your site data.
This setting is not a traditional cookie, and it is not used to store the text you type into the generator.
Loading fonts
The generator loads its typefaces from Google Fonts so that Hindi text can be shown in many Devanagari styles. When this happens, your browser connects to Google's servers to request the font files, and the request includes the distinct characters you typed so that only those letters are downloaded. Google may receive technical information that is part of any web request, such as your IP address and browser details.
You can read how Google handles this in Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
Features that run in your browser
Font previews, colour controls and image creation run in your own browser. We do not use the stored privacy-notice setting to collect or save what you enter.
3. Summary table
| Technology | Purpose | Who sets it | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
Local storage item hfg_cookie_consent |
Remembers that you have seen the privacy notice | HindiFontGen | Until you clear site data |
| Font requests to Google Fonts | Display Hindi text in different typefaces | Governed by Google's policies | |
| Advertising cookies (where ads are shown) | Serve and measure ads, limit repetition, detect invalid activity and, where allowed, personalise ads | Google and its advertising partners | Varies by provider |
4. Third-party services
Some resources used on HindiFontGen come from third parties. These providers may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies according to their own privacy policies and settings. For example, Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used by the generator.
We do not control every cookie or data-processing activity carried out by an external service. If we add another third-party service in the future, we will update this page.
5. Advertising and Google cookies
HindiFontGen may show advertisements provided by Google AdSense or other advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a person's previous visits to this website or to other websites.
With these cookies, Google and its partners can show ads to you based on your visits to HindiFontGen and other sites on the internet. Advertising providers may also use cookies and similar technologies to limit how often you see the same ad, measure how ads perform, and detect invalid or fraudulent activity.
The technologies used and the information processed can vary depending on the service, your location, your settings and the choices you make. Where the law requires your consent before advertising cookies are used, we will make the choices available to you.
To learn more, see how Google uses advertising technologies and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
6. How to opt out of personalised ads
You can control personalised advertising in several ways:
- Use Google Ads Settings to turn off ad personalisation. The options available can depend on your location and whether you are signed in.
- Visit aboutads.info to opt out of personalised advertising from participating third-party vendors.
- Use your browser or device privacy settings to limit or block advertising cookies and identifiers.
Opting out does not remove ads from a page. It only changes whether the ads you see are based on your interests.
7. How to manage cookies and site data
Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies and stored site data. The exact steps depend on your browser and device, but you can usually do this by:
- Opening your browser's Settings menu.
- Finding the Privacy, Security or Site Settings section.
- Opening the cookies or site-data controls.
- Choosing whether to allow, block or delete cookies and stored site data.
If you clear the site data stored for HindiFontGen, the saved privacy-notice setting is removed and the notice may appear again on your next visit. Blocking all cookies and site storage can affect how some websites work, and external services may behave differently when their cookies are blocked.
8. Your text and other information
The text you enter into the Hindi Font Generator is processed in your browser to create previews and PNG images. HindiFontGen does not save that text on its own server as part of these features.
However, loading external resources or using third-party services may involve those providers processing technical information. For more detail, please read our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this page when the site's features, advertising arrangements or legal requirements change. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of the page. We encourage you to check it from time to time.
